Arrival in Kenya
In the morning we crossed the border to Kenya in Moyale, formalities were done quickly. It was interesting to see that a big part of the "Road of Hell" has been paved in the meantime, also thanks to support by the European Union. Still, we had to stop quite often due to police controls.
Plenty of native villages fill the landscape, so we stopped here and there to take some photos. We also visited one village close to Archer's Post, where we've been last year. It was great to see that the people remembered us and that we were very welcome again.
In the evening we reached Kenya's capital Nairobi. The new Volkswagen importer DT Dobie welcomed us with a nice event where we presented our film of last year's record drive.
